Two days is the shortest practical safari to the Masai Mara, and this group joining departure is the most affordable way to do it. You leave Nairobi after breakfast, travel out past the Great Rift Valley viewpoint and are in the reserve by mid afternoon for your first game drive, with a night at a lodge or camp inside big cat country.

Because you share the vehicle and guide with other travellers, the cost stays low while park entrance fees, all meals on safari, mineral water and airport or hotel transfers remain included. It suits anyone with a spare weekend, a stopover in Nairobi, or a first taste of safari before committing to something longer. An optional Maasai village visit can be arranged on the return morning.

Detailed itinerary

Your Topma Tours and Safaris guide will meet you at the airport or your hotel this morning. After breakfast, you’ll be introduced to your driver-guide and given a full briefing on your safari programme. With the details settled, you’ll set off for the Masai Mara National Reserve, pausing at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint and stopping for lunch in Narok. On arrival in the park, an afternoon game drive gets your safari underway before dinner and overnight at your lodge or camp.

After breakfast, there’s an optional visit to a Maasai village at extra cost (payable directly to the village), followed by the drive back to Nairobi with lunch en route. You’ll arrive in the evening and be dropped at your hotel or the airport for your next destination.
