Arrive to Arba Minch via the earliest first flight possible in the domestic flight schedule of Ethiopian Airlines.
Then proceed on a visit to the 40 springs in which the city is known for.
In the afternoon, drive to the village of Hayzo (37kms) and visit the Dorze people known for weaving the traditional handmade cotton cloth of Ethiopians and also for the meters high huts they build from bamboo and banana leaves in a shape of an Elephant skull.
An overnight stay camping in the community, with an evening cultural dancing and gathering.
DAY 2 : ARBA MINCH TO TURMI
An early morning drive to Turmi (290kms), visiting on the way the Konso People – settling as a town called Karat, the Konso live in around 30 villages built up in hills and guarded well with a round stone walled system they have still kept as a tradition for more than 500 years. Their agricultural practices using a terracing system they adopted for more than 500 years is registered as a world heritage site by UNESCO.
An overnight stay at a suggested hotel.
DAY 3 : TURMI
In the morning, we will drive to Kangaten (90kms) and visit the Nyangatom Then proceed on a drive to Korcho (64kms) and visit the Karo tribe.
Drive back to Turmi, and an overnight stay camping in a Hamer village.
DAY 4 : TURMI TO JINKA
An early morning experiencing with the Hamer tribe, learning on how their daily activity looks like.
Drive to Jinka (130kms) visiting on the way any possible market if it falls on this day.
Then proceed driving to the village of Sala Mago (50kms) within Mago National Park .
We spend the afternoon and the evening with the he Mursi tribe – known for the lip plates worn by the woman and the Donga stick fighting performed by the men. They are cattle herders.
An overnight stay camping with the locals..
DAY 5 : JINKA TO ARBA MINCH
An early morning drive back to Arba Minch (240kms), visiting on the way the Ari tribe and possibly a market if it coincides with our traveling date.
Take a late afternoon flight back to Addis Ababa.
