After breakfast, you will have a morning game drive in Tarangire National park which is the 3rd largest park in Tanzania and has a river, Tarangire River, which is the meeting point of all animals during the dry season and draws unbelievably large herds of elephants as well as zebras, buffaloes, antelopes, elands among others therefore making it a good hunting ground for the big cats. Have a half day game drive in the Park and an opportunity to spot all these animals. Moreover, the swamps of Tarangire are shared by flocks of birds, green wood hoopoes, lovebirds, giant kingfishers among others. On dry ground you will find the likes of Kori bastard and ostriches. You will later drive to Serengeti arriving there in the late afternoon which will be spent relaxing from the days excursions. Finally dinner and overnight later in the evening.

After breakfast at the lodge you will head out for an en route game drive in the Serengeti plains, have the chance to spot the big cats as they come back from an early morning hunt or as the small game such as gazelles and antelopes rise to start grazing. Drive to Ngorongoro crater which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Have an opportunity to visit the local Maasai village at an extra cost or decide to spend the afternoon taking in the beautiful view of the sun set and landscape. Bonfire, dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Today you will experience about 5 hours of game drive in the scenic Ngorongoro crater. The crater is famous for game viewing as there is an ever present abundance of wildlife as a result of the permanent water supply at the floor of the crater. You will descend 610 meters into the crater to spot some of the endangered wildlife such as the black rhino. There are many more interesting animals such as the Thomson’s gazelle, giant tusked elephants as well as lions and leopards, hyenas jackals and wild dogs among many more. In addition more than 500 bird species have been recorded to reside in the Ngorongoro crater. Afterwards have your lunch, ascend the crater and leave for Arusha arriving there in time for dinner and overnight.
